On 10 October 1989 the first Austrian bullion coin, the Vienna Philharmonic, was born. To commemorate the 20th birthday of this internationally successful coin, the Austrian Mint is issuing a total of 6,027 pieces Vienna Philharmonic 20 ounces each.

This special edition of the Vienna Philharmonic comes in a prestigious wooden case with a numbered certificate of authenticity. The maximum mintage is 3 x 2009 pieces. The denomination of 3 x 2009 pieces refers to the three most important markets Europe, Japan and USA – and the year of the anniversary.
